Clannad

An overview

CLANNAD is a game (Visual Novel) developed by the KEY software company. It was announced that the game would be released in 2002 but due to several issues it was released on August 8, 2004. Clannad has been published for the Computer, Playstation 2, Playstation Portable and XBOX 360.

Many fans were disappointed because the game did not contain any adult material. Because of this KEY developed a game called Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life based on the Tomoyo area of CLANNAD. It includes adult content unlike CLANNAD.

CLANNAD takes place in a high school in Japan. The main idea featured in the game would be the theme family. Throughout the game there are references to family and the story is pretty much based on family. Unlike other KEY works, CLANNAD does not contain any magical or mystical situations. (IE. Makoto in Kanon was a fox who turned human).
